Which Galvanized Cable Tray Fits Middle East Projects Better?
2026-08-12
Global Infrastructure Procurement
For overseas infrastructure, petrochemical, solar power station, commercial complex and municipal power project procurement, hot dip galvanized cable tray and electro galvanized cable tray are two main types of galvanized cable tray frequently selected by EPC contractors and MEP integrators. Although they look similar, they differ greatly in galvanizing process, zinc coating thickness, anti-corrosion lifespan and applicable working conditions. Such differences directly affect the long-term maintenance cost and safety cycle of the whole cable management system, and remain core technical inquiries in cable tray export for global buyers.

Hot Dip Galvanized Cable Tray
Hot dip galvanized cable tray adopts metallurgical bonding by immersing finished trays into molten zinc. Its zinc coating exceeds 65μm and forms zinc-iron alloy layer with exceptional adhesion, resisting peeling and flaking. Even with surface scratches, the zinc layer protects steel substrate via sacrificial anode effect and delivers superior salt spray resistance. It suits C4/C5 harsh corrosive environments including coastal high-salt zones, chemical plants and open-air sites. Widely applied to ladder cable tray, perforated cable tray, cable trunking and complete cable tray accessories, this heavy duty cable tray can serve 20–30 years, becoming the priority solution for large outdoor infrastructure and energy projects across the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Africa.

Electro Galvanized Cable Tray
Electro galvanized cable tray features thin electrolytic zinc coating of only 5–15μm. It has bright smooth surface and lower upfront cost, yet the coating is merely physically bonded with limited salt spray and scratch resistance. It is only recommended for dry indoor and mild-corrosion scenarios, such as indoor weak-current wiring and data center cabling in regular buildings. If deployed directly in Saudi coastal or desert high-humidity conditions, electro galvanized trays rust rapidly and raise replacement & shutdown maintenance costs. Many Middle East EPC contracts clearly separate these two finishes and ban substituting electro galvanized products for outdoor pipeline projects.

Direct Manufacturer & Exporter
As a direct manufacturer & exporter, we supply both types of galvanized steel cable tray with customized width, depth, thickness and length. Full sets of fittings including elbows, reducers, splice plates and bolts are available. Our products comply with international electrical standards and fit bulk procurement for Middle East mega infrastructure, new city construction, oil & gas power and solar energy storage projects. We accept large custom cable tray export orders and support sample testing, third-party coating inspection and full-container sea shipment.

Exhibition Invitation: BIG5 Saudi
To display physical samples, coating test specimens and project references of hot dip galvanized cable tray and electro galvanized cable tray, we will attend BIG5 Saudi in Riyadh at the end of August. All global EPC contractors, MEP firms, power system integrators and building material distributors are warmly invited to our booth. You may compare samples, technical specifications and project selection guides on site. We welcome discussions on cable tray bulk supply, long-term overseas project partnerships and local project supporting delivery, to explore MEP cabling opportunities within the Middle East construction market.
